First Field Trip

Gage visited Janoski's Pumpkin Farm with his preschool class for his first field trip. Austin was his chaperon and they got to ride the school bus together. I am so, so glad that Dad got to do something fun for a change. According to him, it was a great place for a field trip. Janoski's is a working farm so there were numerous tractors and employees doing their daily duties as the kids were able to do a multitude of other things. The entire place was only open for school trips on this day and Austin thought it was awesome that the only thing the class did 'together' was the hayride to the pumpkin patch. After that, every parent and child could do whatever they wanted for however long they wanted. That's a win-win idea for 4-year olds, I think. Austin and Gage went through the spooky house multiple times, played on the pedal carts, went through the corn maze.. .and did everything else that they could with the exception of the petting zoo. They even picked out a present for me in the gift shop: homemade apple butter. My boys are so thoughtful :) It was a great first experience for him and even though that farm stuff is second nature to him, he was eager to tell me all about it as though he'd done it all for the very first time.
