So this morning, I loaded up the kids and met Grandma in Cambridge so that Gage can experience the Tractor Pulls tomorrow. (I'm sure my father would have never taken us to the tractor pulls should we have desired at that age. :) Gage will get to go to the fair all week and then Leila and I will get to go down on Friday.
With that said, the miracle is two-fold: She went all the way to Cambridge, all the while in Cambridge (including a trip to Bob Evans and Wal-Mart), and all the way home.... without crying! It's the first ever of its kind. I could care less about getting ready for school tomorrow... I just want to enjoy the other mini miracle occurring at the Cable Cabin: Leila is asleep.... and she went to sleep on her own. This has been going on for about a week now, but I was afraid to report on it earlier for fear I'd jinx myself. I mean, seriously, I can't even describe the feeling I have when I can just go in, lay her down, and walk away. I haven't felt this good since before my pregnancy with Leila began, and if you've been around lately, you know that must be pretty darn awesome.
We're celebrating the quiet with quiet time tonight: Chinese Take Out and a Movie-- a real, live grown up movie. Giddy crept into my smile.
