Language Learning

Little Leila is picking up about 6-10 new words almost every day. Out of the blue, she pipes up with something new and accurate. Lately, her ability to talk about Care Bears has our TV tuned in quite frequently. And, we know that she is not fond of riding in the car when it's raining, nor does she like the basement door to be open if it's dark down below. She's better and better at using soap to wash her hands and she knows to rinse off the bubbles. I admit it was slightly embarrassing that the first time she used the word 'poop' in crystal clear fashion was when we were in the bank lobby and the stench filling up the room was no one's fault but the little girl's who kept saying 'poop, poop, poop.' Thankfully they had a public restroom.
