It's already August! I have a lot of catching up to do if I don't want it to look like we had an un-eventful summer (as there is no such thing being a Cable at Austin Lake).
Currently, Gage is attending his last day of camp at EGCC-- and it is show and tell day. He has been waiting for a show and tell day since he was three and he's finally getting one. He had a hard time deciding what to take and changed his mind a lot, but in the end took what he kept going back to all week-- his big John Deere tractor (with a bucket) from Wal-Mart (because 'my other ones are too breakable').
Leila is watching a DVD from the library about the Legend of Sasquatch (who knew?) and playing a Toy Story Memory Game on the I-Pod. I've done six loads of laundry, made beds, and showered so far today and now I'm in limbo as to what to do next.
Summer is all about limbo-- make plans and be disappointed when they don't happen, don't make plans and be disappointed because we are always stuck here at home, or wing it during small windows of opportunities. I should have made a list so that when these windows occur, we could make up our minds instead of wasting time asking one another "do you want to...??"
