Working on the Tree Farm

While Gage was using a combine as a mower/tree cutter this morning on my bed, he said to me:

Mom, first they cut down a tree, then they chop it all up, then they take it home and make broccoli. Right?

It's hard to argue with him when we've called broccoli 'green trees' for as long as I can remember. This morning at breakfast he asked me if we could have broccoli and carrots for breakfast tomorrow. How can you argue with a kid who is so wrapped up in his veggies?
